Dr. Shemma who leads the IDF Wounded Soldiers will be making a special guest appearance at this years March Of Remembrance.

Holocaust Remembrance of the Valley is proud to announce the addition of special guest, Dr. Moshe Shemma to our program for this years March of Remembrance being held Sunday May 5, 2024.

 

Dr. Moshe Shemma is the director of the Zahal Disabled Veterans Fund. He holds the rank of Colonel in the IDF and has served in various combat roles and operations as part of the reserve system. As a young officer, he participated in the First Lebanon War and spent approximately two years in Lebanon, operating in the Shouf Mountains and along the Beirut-Damascus axis. Within the reserve formation, he served as both a battalion commander and later as a brigade commander, and he also held a senior command position in the Gaza Strip. Notably, he commanded military operations during the first and second intifadas in the Jabaliya and Shati refugee camps, as well as in the cities of Khan Yunis and Rafah. In the Judea and Samaria sector, he oversaw security operations in the Jordan Valley, Jenin, and Ramallah.

 

Dr. Shemma holds a doctorate in business administration and is an expert in computational strategy. He serves as a lecturer at Haifa and Ariel universities, specializing in advanced research methods. Married, he resides in Mevaseret Zion near Jerusalem.

 

As part of his role in the IDF Disabled Organization, commonly referred to as Shemma, he oversees the entire system of fundraising and resource allocation worldwide.
